Nepal-Tibet-Mt Kailash
This unique once in a lifetime journey has been designed for dedicated participants who are interested in a powerful and challenging pilgrimage to the most sacred places in the Himalayan region, Mount Kailash.
During this pilgrimage, we will start the spiritual practices from Kathmandu itself which includes the ceremonies, empowerment, visit sacred places, propitiating the ancestors, the practices and rituals of ‘Chakra-Samhar’-the termination of a cycle, etc. Open to participants of any faith or spiritual practices, it is a ‘journey of once in a lifetime’.
Though today this sacred mountain is in TAR, China it was the centre of spiritual refuge, veneration and a source of inspiration from the beginning of time. This unparalleled pilgrimage is considered to be the path of “Salvation” and at the same time is regarded as the greatest and hardest of all earthly pilgrimages.
This spiritual journey corresponds to the full moon of August. An auspicious time for spiritual renewal and rejuvenation! During this time, the Devas, Deities and Powerful Spirits come back to the Earth realm after their month-long retreat in the Lower World Realms. As the spirits return in full vigour, we too will visit the sites that provide contact with their most profound power.
During this pilgrimage journey, we will visit the sacred sites and historical places of Kathmandu Valley in Nepal including those of Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu’s Durbar Square. While in Tibet we will visit Potala Palace, Jo Khang, Drepung, Sera, Shigatse Monastery, Gyantse Monastery, Shakya, Deraphuk Monastery, Zuthulphuk, etc.
Organized and accompanied by Bhola Banstola, Fotoula, Carine in collaboration with Nepali and Tibetan travel agencies, this trip is well balanced, time-tested and affordable for all who are physically fit, mentally sound and willing to experience this journey.
Weaving together rich, vibrant, complex and profound Nepali and Tibetan cultures, spirituality and way of life, this trip answers many of the questions and curiosity participants may have. The infinite arid and high Tibetan plateau whose horizons are beyond the comprehension of human understanding is difficult to express until one has had firsthand experience.
